Hey everyone, I'm Gary and I'm 26 years young. Already in a job that I absolutely love, the creation of a personal website and blog has been something that I've been thinking about for a long time. I finally decided to take the plunge and create GCDTravelFit and use it to serve as an outlet for me to post about all things health, fitness, food and travel as these are some huge passions of mine. I hope to provide you with plenty to read and view and if I can inspire some positive lifestyle change then that would be fantastic. With tonnes of blog ideas, an urge to travel more extensively and recipes to share, this should be a busy site with plenty going on. Every fitness journey begins with a single step. This for me was several years ago now and it turns out it was the best step I've ever taken. Health and fitness is deeply embedded into my lifestyle and I wouldn't have it any other way. It's directly responsible for giving me the hunger I have to achieve every single goal I set myself whether this is fitness related or not. To know your limitations and then progress to defy them; to clear the mind of what you can't do and to help motivate not only yourself but those around you gives the feeling of pure gratification and I urge everyone to go after this.
With a small amount of travel under my belt I have a huge desire to whisk myself away and continue to explore this amazing planet. As the great St Augustine said, the world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page. The time away I have experienced thus far in my life has seen me meet some truly amazing people and create memories for life. I urge everyone to travel and gain some great perspective alongside the exceptional feeling of self accomplishment. Travel and fitness combined is what I'm all about!
Combined with health and fitness, food naturally plays a big part in my life. Of course for myself it is largely used as a tool to determine which way I'd like my body composition to go however this does not mean it has to fall into the stereotypical plain fitness food category. Believe me it's so easy to enjoy a huge variety of tasty, delicious foods originating from every corner of the world all whilst hitting your health and fitness goals. I aim to share some of my favourite recipes and the more travel that I do the more inspiration I will get to produce some amazingly tasty go-to meals.
